Heron Valley is a wholesome family-run artisan juice and cider producer based in South Devon. Their philosophy is to only use natural whole ingredients and because of this, they make the most delicious selection of soft drinks. These pair perfectly with Quicke’s Clothbound cheeses.
The Heron Valley Apple juice is deliciously smooth, not too sweet, not too sharp, the perfect goldilocks apple juice, it’s almost like you are eating fresh apple crisps. It is made using up to 10 heritage varieties of apples grown and picked from their South Hams orchards. There is an average of 1.3kg of apples pressed that goes into every 750ml bottle, these are immediately pressed to preserve the freshness and flavour. We have paired this with our clothbound Mature Clothbound cheddar, the sweet apple juice great combination with the Quicke’s Mature Clothbound Cheddar, the juxtaposition of sweet apple and savoury mature, helps to bring out the broth notes letting the two sing together in unison on the tongue.

The Heron Valley Apple & Ginger juice- fiery taste, smells of ginger but has a well-balanced apple finish. Balanced with gentle warming. A delicious, spiced apple juice made using whole root ginger infused with Heron valley’s award-winning cloudy sweet apple juice. The apple and ginger juice is bursting with earthly goods, and is great served cold or gently warmed in the winter months. We find this is best paired with our Extra Mature Clothbound Cheddar, the warming element of the ginger compliments the savoury complex elements within the cheese and combination of the two work in harmony.
